I was working on a project for my wife over the weekend when my 30 year old Craftsman saber saw gave up. I was going to go to one of the box stores to by a cheapo to finish the job. While on my way, I had to go past Sears, so I thought "What the heck". I walked in and asked how good their warranty was as I bought this saw many years ago with a lifetime warranty to repair or replace as long as I live. I walked out with a brand new saber saw, $80.00 value, free of charge.

I have one at least that old that's still going strong. Not a bit of plastic on it. Did they do that without a receipt?

I am glad to hear that Sears honored their warranty for a tool that old. I just wish your 'new' saw would last as long as the 'old' one.:(
