Laminate - Cost and sources

I am planning to build a router table out of MDF, and wanted to cover it with laminate. The local Lowes only carries 4x8 Formica sheets, and at $47 a sheet.

Anyone have any online sources or other suggestions, and possibly a "normal" cost?

When I did my kitchen some years back, I was able to special-order Formica from Home Depot at about the same cost per square foot as the in-stock stuff. One of the choices was (I think) 30" wide by whatever length, intended for (duh) countertops.

Only took a couple days.

I would check with a local Cabinet Shop. They may have some pieces from a job that they will let you have cheap .. otherwise they may be able to order your stuff.
