Hi all
anyone ever done a pc casing of 4 or 6mm acrylic?
Am thinking to make my own casing and would like ideas or plans, precautions on procedure.
thanks

In a case that size, with the heat, you will get a lot of expansion and contraction between on/off cycles. Be sure to take it into account in your design.

Dont think about it , it's a major mission and you will have to have a precision bender and some pretty good glueing experience to do so , uses a alot of perspex too and works out real expensive.
You will also have to anneal or stress relieve the pex after lasering or heat bending if you dont want stress cracking when glueing. You need to leave the pex in an oven at 80 degrees for 1 hour per mm of thickness and let it air cool to anneal or stress releive it. I see you coming to CT , you more than welcome to spend some time at my place when you here.

An easier idea might be to buy an acrylic case (around $100 here) and then cut it up / engrave it to fit your needs.
