Nissim, thanks for the pics. I've really enjoyed learning about your inventive methods of work.

There is something I'm wondering about: It looks like there's no allowance for wood movement at the joint between the cabinet top and the side frames. This may or may not be an issue, depending on the scale of the piece. How wide is the top? Estimating from the markings on the jigs, it looks like about 40 cm (15.75").

It’s a good point.
The width is 19-3/4” (50 cm), I built a few cabinets at the same method, some of them 8 years ago and “so far so good”, may be amateur’s luck…

One reason that I can think of is, maybe, because I’m applying at least 5 layers of varnish from both inside and outside the humidity changes within the wood are minimal, but I’m not sure.
