Does anyone know what a Disston D8 (with dual grip and thumbhole, pre-1917) is worth?
Blades in good condition wrt rust, pitting and no broken teeth, but I don't know if the engraving will survive my cleaning if I get it.

Any info gratefully received.

I'm just an amateur here, but I own and have bought some D-8's, and have also watched them sell on eBay. I bought a thumbhole rip for $12, and a nice 20" panel saw missing its horn [fixed it] for $5. Garage sales. On eBay, they can go for $20 to $50 or more. From internet saw dealers, it varies, $40 -70 or so, if I'm rememebering correctly.

You can go to eBay and search for completed listings.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info Ken.

The dealer info was good, I never know what to make of ePay prices... I can hardly ever work out the model/year of manufacture.
