View Full Version : Cherry on Cherry Armoire.

Amongst welcoming our new son into the world, tearing down the engine on our van, and other "family emergencies", I managed to get this armoire done.

I'm not happy that they wanted all the bedroom pieces colored dark, but I can't argue with the clients. Maybe it's just that I hate to color wood and therefor never happy with it when I do.

Anyway...... Solid cherry other than the back and drawer bottoms. The drawers and some internal frame work are maple. Dovetailed drawers with false fronts (I know), and the upper doors are pocket type.

Finish is Transtint in water and a toned shellac.

Thanks for looking.

I happen to like that color, which is what natural cherry would become in a couple of years in the light. It's a beautiful piece (or pieces?).

Oh yeah......... forgot to mention. The drawer pulls are on backorder. It will receive 2 knobs per drawer and one each for the upper doors.
