Good day

I’m working now on an oak (1-3/16”) glass cabinet.

Because the subject is long, I will post it in a few posts.
Today, the side frames for the glass cabinet.

Nissim, why are you using dowels rather than biscuits to join your frames? Not a criticism, just wondering why you made that choice?

Hi Nancy

Within the time, I developed very precise doweling method with my router table.
It takes only a few “steps” on the pedal and the frame or carcass is finished and nothing moves anymore. So why to change a good proved method.

The second reason is, I don’t have biscuit joiner and as an amateur, I prefer to buy, say, good router.

Niki,

That's a very nice process! Simple, exact and strong. Nice work.

(You missed your calling as a teacher too. :D )

Nice start, keep it coming. Always enjoy seeing the methods woodworkers come up with to mill and fabricate their projects, especially woodworkers outside of the United States.

Thank you Dan

Ok, I’ll tell you a secret, I was 4 years ground instructor in aviation.

Looking at your tool list, you have all the “Mercedes” line.
