WC,
NS = American National Thread – Special
HS = High Speed Steel
GH5 = G means that it is a ground tap. H5 is the thread class, e.g. Basic pitch diameter plus .002” to Basic pitch diameter plus .0025”

Hi Bruce,
How are you? Haven't heard from you in a while.
I wasn't sure where to look that info up, & figured I'd get an answer faster here.
Where is a good website to find this type of info??
Thanks for the reply!!
W.C.

WC, I've been doing good. You?
Try to find a copy of the “Machinery Handbook” at a used book store. Often called the machinists bible, it has more information than you’ll ever want to know. Amazon has it for $71.06
