got the Rikon today at downingntown pa woodcraft gonna need some explaining on this pen turning stuff though
were just practining on scrap 3/4 x3/4 scrap stock i ripped to get feel of lathe

i must say what a excellent built and machined tool

my friend who is a machinist stopped and seen it on my bench and admired the machine work and thought of detail he asked how much he said has to be at least 700 i said nope 219

just love the rikon

Congrats Cory. Used mine to finish a NE today. Dang is that thing smooth. Like I said the big Cman may sit until I need something bigger than 12". I think you had better go get the boy one cause you ain't going to have time on it once he gets started.:D :D :D

I'm ordering mine as soon as I get done oogling everyone's work here! I'm going to do some bowl turning demos in my kids' classrooms at school. Try to keep the art of wood working alive!

would hate to see the mother 36 in long 18 high and weight says 87 pounds but its heavy all dead weight the mother should be about a 600 pounder
