Well, at least I finished something anyway. After cracking real bad when I put wood hardener on it, and then having the whole bottom come off making a funnel, I glued it back together and filled with turquoise. 7x7 finished with lacquer. The bottom is not quite as pointy as he picture shows. It's not exactly what I was going for, but the trouble I had changed my direction, so like I said... at least I finished something.

That's an awfully nice chunk of misbehaving wood, Ernie. And well done.

I like the haphazard randomness to the inlay. Too Cool!

Nice save Ernie. I don't think I've seen Pecan with turquoise before, I like the contrast.
