This is about 7 inch wide by 3 inch tall brazilian cherry bowl. Finish is Tried and Ture original formula BLO beeswax mix. Had some problems with it but think it turned out pretty good.

I agree with George, Mike. I find the form most appealing.

But now that you have your bowls going well, why not give your photos an equal share of attention. Neutral backgrounds don't camoflage the piece nearly so well as do the interiors of most homes. Try a draped blanket or sheet for starters.

Very pretty Mike. Was the wood as hard as people say it is? Was that the problem you had?

Thanks everyone.
Corey- yes the wood is pretty hard but not unworkable. I had a problem with my tendon not being quite square so the bowl came out of the chuck I had to reverse chuck it and redo the tendon and then square up the outside again. I never got it running quite perfect after that. I also left the bottom to thick which is a common problem for me.

I certainly wouldn't be ashamed of this bowl, you did a great job with it. I really like the form as well.:)

Nice one Mike. Hey, I think Bill Grumbine has a hand made depth finder on his site... or maybe it's on his video that would help with the bottom thickness.
