Hi Folks,

I am working on a murphy bed, finishing it with shellac. I was padding on a large panel and ended up with a small drip. I should not have been recharging my pad over the panel! I didn't notice it untill later. What is the best way to deal with a drip? I grabbed a rag, with a little DNA and rubbed it out, Unfortunaly that spot is now much duller than the rest of the panel. I have hit it several times with a charged pad, but it is still noticeable under the right light.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Jonathan

You will eventually get it back to looking right, so don't dispair. But next time, just let it dry and remove it with a card scraper. That won't affect the surrounding area and will be easily covered over with the next coat.

You can also let it dry and scrap it with a razor blade, then pad right over it. That's one of the good things about shellac, easy to repair. :D

Keep padding in a circular motion and it will eventually blend together to the sheen u wish...
