I bought a used Delmhorst J-1 moisture meter. Calibration sticker (no company name) was dated 1995, gives an idea of age. Pins a bit bent, no instructions to adjust meter or species/temp. conversion guide. Contacted Delmhorst in N.J. Alan Dlugasch in Customer service responded. Asked for my phone number. Sent it to him. He called, we spoke, told him what I had and what I thought I needed. I didn't know of replacement pins or instructions were available any longer for this unit, at least 8 years old, probably older. I offered to pay for pins and comparison chart plus postage. Mr. Dlugasch said he would see if he could find anything and if he could, he would put in mail, gratis. Three days later, instructions to zero/adjust meter, conversion chart, and brand new replacement pins arrived, no charge. Delmhorst deserves a big ATTABOY in my book. This is just a public Thank you since manufacturers should hear from us consumers when something goes right too! I have no financial interest in this company. Mr. Dlugasch personifies what should be meant by the term, Customer Service. Thanks for reading.
