was looking into getting a chuck from psi or grizzly last night had their catalogs out side by side grizzly showroom in muncy pa order card if pa resident add 6% sales tax ok no problem thats what it should be but psi is charging 7%. 1% above state sales tax what is with this and where is the extra 1% going definetly not to the state.

Are they both in exactly the same area. In Washington state each town tacks on their own small amount to the base tax that the state charges so one town may be 8.3% another may be 8.7% etc. I have never seen a jump from say 6% tp 7% though.

Cory,
I think both Philly and Pittsburgh have an extra 1% tax that goes to the city - as well as 4% of that 6%. :D ;)

Wes is correct. PSI charges Philadelphia sales tax in addition to PA sales tax.

Corey,
Wes and Jim are correct. If I sell anything in Pittsburgh, or Philly, I have to charge 7%.
