I am building my first ever cabinet for my kitchen, and I had a question about door hinges.
I am using European style hidden hinges for the doors on my cabinet. The book I've been working from, Danny Proulx's 'Build Your Own Kitchen Cabinets', says to mount the hinges 3" in from each edge, and generally assumes 2 hinges per door. How tall would a door have to be before I should think about using three hinges instead of two? The cabinet I am making is 39" tall, with two doors that are roughly 14" x 38". Would two hinges be good enough on these doors, or should I use three? I made the doors out of 3/4" inch thick solid oak (and they are gorgeous!).
