Look for a pm from me.

Meanwhile my recommendation for a plotter is the Graphtec, mine has been run 8-12 hours a day for 3 years with no problems at all. There are many other varieties available, some more some less expensive. I'd stay away from Ioline, bad experience with that one.

The Roland range of print and cut inkjet machines is acknowledged as the best. We have used a Roland Soljet 540 for about 3 years with exceptional results , their smaller machines like the SP300 is hugely succesful and is a great starter system.
The new Roland max inks are as good if not better than full solvent inks without any of the downsides of the solvent inks.
For a lot more discussion on which digital printer is best , go to www.uksignboards.com (http://www.uksignboards.com) , be aware a lot of the members use a converted Roland machine (converted from mild solvent to full solvent) called the Grenadier or Cadet.
Also visit the roland site , www.rolanddga.com (http://www.rolanddga.com) for more info on their latest print and cut machines.
DO NOT even consider a thermal resing print and
cut like their pc600.
We use our machine to print and cut vinyls , foils, rigid stuff up to 1mm thick , banner , polysilk , papers etc.
Costs of consumables IE vinyls and inks typically run to about $15 per sq meter at the very worst and average at about $8-10 per sq meter (about 10 sq ft in a sq meter)
If you want any more info , just ask , I have a lot of experience in this field.

I think the original poster is not just looking for a plotter , he seems to want a printer/plotter AKA a digital print and cut machine.

In order to be a bono-fide member of SMC you are required to use a real first and last name. Please PM Jackie Outten (http://sawmillcreek.org/private.php?do=newpm&u=6)with that information and she will update your registration.
