Masur Birch lidded box

Masur Birch with Blackwood inside-out finial, pedestal and rim. 3 1/2" diameter by 8 1/2" tall. Buffed Seal-a-cell finish. It took me 3 tries to get the inside-out bulb turned. I have a newfound respect for the guys that turn those inside-out ornaments, this one took most of the day Saturday to get right.:eek:

I just keep coming back over and over to look at this. It just oozes elegance.

This has got to be one of - if not THE - best boxes I've seen. It all flows together just right - from the pedestal, thru the box, up to the finial. The colors are great and the collar on the box really knocks it out of the park for me. And, of course, the inside-out on the finial is very impressive.
