Well, - sigh - at least this year their season was a little longer.

Long distance, long suffering Cubs fan (but not fanatical)

Looks like the wheels came off in game five and they never got all of them back on. Too bad they are blaming one fan for mistakes made by the pitching and management staff in all three of the last games!

It sure looks like that guy will be remembered just like the billy goat. There was a big article in the Trib about him and how sorry he is about what happened. They better give him police protection for the rest of his life. Or maybe he should move to Florida. The article said he is a big fan. I guess he will never forgive himself for his actions. Although he isn't the only reason for the Cubs losing, the momentum of the series seemed to change to the Marlins after that play.

From a long time Cubs fan, I guess the only thing to say the same thing I say every year (but usually a little earlier in the Year). "Wait till next year!"

Also, I have to say the color of Ivy in October is one the best colors I have ever seen!

Disappointed but not our of hope.

Well it is too late for the Cubs, but hopefully not for the Sox. Wish them luck, please. In fact you might repeat this if you are so inclined:
Our Manny,
Who art in Boston,
Hallowed be thy game.
Thy swing is fun,
Thy hits will come,
In New York as they do in Boston.
Give us today
Our daily win,
And relieve us of curses
As we forgive Roger, who
trespassed against us.
And lead us not into frustration,
But deliver us from Pettitte.
Amen.

A little tweak for today...

Our Nomah,
Who art in Boston,
Hallowed be thy game.
Thy swing is fun,
Thy hits will come,
In New York as they do in Boston.
Give us today
Our daily win,
And relieve us of curses
As we forgive Roger, who
trespassed against us.
And lead us not into frustration,
But deliver us from Clemens (and bring on Wakefield early).
Amen.

Oh Great Bambino, remember those who traded you and make their bats like wet pasta.

And Roger needs no forgiveness :)

Regardless of who wins, it has been a great ALCS and tonight should be a great game. After all, it's only a game - GO YANKS!!

:( :( :(

Go Tigers??!!??

Oh, well, at least they've won the Series more recently than the Cubs!! (Geez---that'll be 20 years next year---time sure does fly).

Now maybe all the locals will calm down a little and I won't have to hear about the Scrubs anymore. :D
