I've been wanting one and was 1st thinking of the new bosch. But read about a lot of problems regarding slipping of the locking mechanism. So was wondering if anyone has played with the freud - trend t3. What i read is that it is also a plunge style.
would like to hear the good, bad and ugly.
many thanks

Ditto on Tods reply. I might add Pat Warner's offset base compliment's it nicely.

I have the Bosch. I'd say the height adjustment is rock solid if you follow the instructions. The adjustment takes one more step than I expected. If you don't do that step, the thing slips. If you read and follow the instructions, it works well.

The Bosch Colt is really quite good! Soft start and a very smooth adjusting sustem. A spindle lock for removing bits. The base is very easy to remove and adjust and the fine adjustment is also nice...It is powerful! for a small router

If that means Porter-Cable router model #310, I'm confused. (not that that's an unusual condition :o )
But, I went to the Porter-Cable web site, they don't have a router model #310 listed. Wassup?

Hi Frank,

PC calls it a laminate trimmer:

P.s. I don't have one but am looking at the Colt. I think the micro adjust may make up for some of my inexperienced technique(?).

Another vote for the colt. Smooth running, smooth positive adjustment, and packs lots of HP in to a package that fits in my hand like a glove.

Bosch and Milwaukee have the best collets by far!

One day, soon I hope, I'll get a micro fence plunge base and fence for it. That will be one sweet setup. :) :)
