I am getting ready to turn some platters as awards for an upcomming Church golf tourneyment. I picked up some 12 1/4" 8/4 curley maple from my hardwood suplier. I'll make 4 at 12", 4 at 10" and 4 as 8". I'll have them Laser engraved by one of the laserheads on our lase forum..:D

Well Don....I'd have to say that any more wood on that baby and you be slapping the lathe pretty good. Nice fit and I hope those turn out really well for ya. :D

Pretty cool Don. You know, a little grinder work on that lathe and you might make 13":eek: .........just a thought.....
