Through the help of the WW'ing club I belong to, I got a great opportunity to upgrade my delta hybrid (circa 1992 tilting arbor saw w/contractor trunions) to a full 3hp cabinet saw...

First a pic of the old: http://www.hinzewoodcreations.com/wood/saw/table_saw1.jpg

And now a few pictures of the new, it's an older saw and the top is still flat and in good shape. We replaced the belts and arbor bearings so it should still have many good years:

Very nice trade-up! Congratulations...you'll enjoy having the heavier and more powerful saw in your shop.

'Looks like you have a little minor "rust reversal" to do at the bottom of the base, but that's should be pretty easy to accomplish.

Are you going to miss your UniFence??

Thanks Jim....

Yea a tiny bit of rust, it's all surface.. I just have to get out the scotch bright pad and then find a matching spray paint.

I'm not sure yet if I'll miss the unifence. So far I've been adapting nicely to the excaliber. I don't have a tape on the rails or cursor on the fence .. I've almost always measured fence to blad rather than use the tape on the rails.

The excaliber slides much nicer than the unifence and was easier to adjust parallel to the blade. On the plus side the excaliber has the t-track on top like my old uni-t-fence.. so that's not too bad.

If I start missing it too much, I'll just order one from amazon :)

Sounds like a "full size" gloat to me! Congrats and enjoy!
