Maple Bowl

I finally got around to taking some pictures. This is about an 8 inch Maple bowl. The bottom is a little thick but I was really pleased with the shape. Comments and critiques are welcome.

The shape and finish are good, but the overall product is as plain as plain can be. It's good from a utilitarian POV, but artistically it does not have much to offer. For a beginner it's a great start, but I would hope you would go on to do more advanced work.

Montgomery you are absolutely right and I appreciate your comment. I have dabbled in some burning and pierceing but have decided I need to learn to turn consistently to a high standard before I go on to do more artistic stuff.

Mike, classic bowl is difficult to improve upon. Your choice of wood and shape is very nice.
