Can't remember if I have posted the pics of these tables or not, but they are now finished with 7 coats of poly over hand rubbed BLO.

Then I got busy on some cutting boards to take to Canton. I am going to start selling these over the web soon and maybe even on Saturdays here in Terrell. I really enjoy making these. This time out I used Paduak, Cherry, Hard Maple, Bubinga and Walnut in several patterns...

Outstanding tables and boards and finishing that is worthy of the tables and boards, Kelly. :)

They serve to remind me how much I need to improve my finishing skills. :o

Kelly,
Being new to woodworking, can you tell me what kinds of wood you used for bothe the top and legs ? Also like I said being new, what does BLO mean ?

Thanks, Bill:confused:

Very Nice, Kelly, both the tables AND the cutting boards. I know the table bases are cedar, but not sure what the tops are? Beautiful finish too.

I'm guessing the tops are Mesquite....thought I been wrong before!
Great work!

Kelly,
Very nice - cutting boards should sell well. What finish did you use on the boards and did you have any problem with the paduak bleeding into the neighboring woods? Dave

I'm a little jealous Kelly! I haven't hardly been out to the shop since the season got started.

I hope Canton goes well for you this month. We might make it out on Sunday, depending on what time I finish meetings that morning.

I didn't know you were going to do some cutting boards. Do ya think Ipe would be good in the mix. I still have most of what I got from you. Minus a few pens, that is. You're welcome to it any time you need it.
