I broke the eye bolt that holds the locking mechanism on the banjo this weekend on my 1018. You can tell it's made from tensil steel so I was just imagining how much this was going to cost me, especially since I bought the lathe used and they discontinued the 1018. Well I call them this morning and after telling them what happened they said it was covered under warranty and they would get one in the mail today, NO CHARGE. Said I should have it Thursday. This is definitely pushing my decision on my Upgrade to Oneway for sure. I'm also waiting to here back from a couple different guys who have a 2436 to possibly get rid of. If the price is right I've got to figure out how to fit one into a 12x16 building. It will be a while but I will have one of the rooms in the house to convert to the "lathe room". It's 15x28.
Just wanted to mention the great service at Oneway.

Yes. I bought a steady rest through Packards. Had a wheel out of round.
Oneway sent one right out.

The folks at Oneway are first class on all accounts. I go out of my way to come up with a reason to call and talk to them. Unfortunately their products are so good the opportunity seldom arises.:)

And what's especially cool about that warranty being honored is that Brian's 1018 is five or six years old.

I was the second owner; and he's the third.

I've never heard even a hint of negativity about Oneway. I only have accessories but all are top notch.

Yep,
I bet Andy did break it. But the cool thing is I get new parts for free. I wish he would've broke the frame, then maybe they would upgrade me for free since they don't make the 1018. Actually I think I tweaked it a little too hard awhile back making adjustments. It seemed a little loose when I would tighten the locking handle so I tweaked the nut on the bottom. No complaints here. Brian:)

I have done a bunch of business with them in the last few weeks and they are wonderful. Kimberly has a great sense of humor.
