Hey guys. My sister saw me thumbing through a copy of Woodsmith a week or two ago and liked a small table they had featured. Anyway, I built this for her birthday. She is a horticulturalist and can always use extra plant stands.

Not sure if I like the tile, but she wanted a partial glass-block top.

Finish is BLO, shellac, and wax.

BTW, this is my first project I have had the guts to post, lol!!

Well I like it for a first post. Looks like it will serve her well as a plant stand or a night stand either one.

Alex: Very nice and sometimes we have to please the customer, relative or not. I really like the table, very nice proportions and joinery.

We (wife and I) are huge Arts and Crafts fans. We built a cottage style house we liked it so much. I like that table! Like you I have mixed feelings on the tile, haven't decided if I like it or not. Regardless it is a nice looking table. Wouldn't mind having one in my living room.
