I need to modify the Epilog music box design to be tall enough & wide enough to hold a business card. We buy 1/4" maple cut offs from a panel company & I made him a box with my logo & added some tree clipart to the sides. He liked it & now wants some but as business card holders to give to his customers.

I would be happy to pay for the service, I'm just not getting the spacing right & the frustration level is getting pretty high right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA

I'd be happy to help. Tell me in more detail and I'll give you advice.

Here's something (http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=4875) Keith posted a while back for an alternative.

If you keep the tabs on the box the same width/height, you can use the node tool to make the box taller. Mainly, you just have to do the same thing to all the sides, and it will match up. Notice how I lined everything up so I can make sure visually, that I'm doing it right.

I use Nudge, and I set mine up to .125 and I keep count of how many times I press the arrow keys. I stretched the box up, keeping the tabs the same size, just by nudging the nodes.

Let me know if that wasn't enough instruction, and I will clarify.

Thanks Todd!! I made one a few months ago that is the typical thin stand up kind, but I made the front piece out of the customers company logo. I would love to share it but do not have access to the engraving PC (I am at home). I know this is a little off topic here but does anyone use a program to link up two computers through the interernet or know of any other way. I used gotomypc.com a few years ago and loved it. The price was $100 per year but the downfall was that your host PC would have to be on the internet all the time. If you have high speed internet then no worries but my PC at the shop is not. I would love to be able to have access to my shop PC at home. Right now im using the USB memory stick, but I am always needing something that I dont have.

If you have broadband at both locations you can get routers that support VPN (Virtual Private Network). That lets you securely log into a computer from somewhere else on the internet.

Todd, what thickness material did you use for the card box?
