I have been reading post's on this site for quite sometime but had trouble registering, for some reason I could not recieve a confirmation e-mail, I tried a few times over the last six months to no avail. Then Sunday I called Keith and it took him forever (about 15 seconds) to get me straightened out. Anyway here I am. About six years ago I got the bug to start working wood, however I got a little side tracked and ended up buying a small bandmill, then I built a kiln, I then started selling cherry, red oak, walnut etc. to hobbyist like myself. The good thing is I have learned alot about lumber the last 5 or 6 years, sawing, drying etc. The bad thing is I really haven't had time to build a whole lot. So now that I finally have a well equipped shop and lots of lumber it's time! I look forward to learning and who knows maybe even contribute a little myself.

Michael,

Welcome to the creek. You might want to update your profile to indicate your location. Who knows, you just might find a few customers for some of those trees you've been sawing....;)

Oh, and lest you forget, we love pictures...

Michael.

Welcome to Sawmill Creek, and pleased to meet you.
Everybody slides into woodworking in a different way. You slid in the cool way.;)

Cutting wood on a bandmill has to be some hard work, but it has to be gratifying seeing a tree turned into lumber.

Nice to meet ya'
