I was caulking around the toilet a few days ago and I was wearing some old workpants that I did not care if they got dirty. Well, I must have got some of the caulking on the pants when the tube of caulking broke . (It was a mess on the ceramic tile floor to clean up!!! ) I pulled the pants out of the wash today and the silicone caulking was still stuck to the pants. It looks like the pants were coated with rubber cement!:( Is there any way to get that stuff off of clothing once it dries? I am thinking of throwing them out.

Thanks,

not till it wears off. I wouldn't toss em out over that. Then again I've never been one to worry to much about stained pants

Don't throw them out, they're old work pants! Save them for painting and caulking. You can actually scrape some of it off with a razor blade but what's in the fabric will stay there.

Now you can wear them in the rain without getting soaked!
