I devoted this summer mostly to my photography, but I still managed to get a few bowls done.
I also finally have a photo site where I keep pictures of my turnings,

http://www.pbase.com/saschagast/woodturning

and all my other stuff

so here's what I have been up to on the days I spent in the shop

and here a few that are about half done, just a few more oil cycles

Feels good to focus on turning a bit more again, but I was having fun going outside to take pictures.

this is what I did all this time

It's about time. I was starting to seriously worry about you. Your pictures look great. Any interest in quitting your real job yet?:)

Ah, those are beautiful, Sascha! Great photography, too.

The form you chose is very appealing to me. I have a similar piece in my collection done in Ponderosa Pine by Phil Brennion that I bought at and AAW Symposium benefit auction a few years back. This form really lends itself to the transparent treatments! Wonderful work!

thank you guys, I haven't been reading forums at all, spending lots of time with photoshop.
What a summer we had here, just great and turning was done usually after midnight to about 4am, my typical creative time.
I still have another 8 or so pieces of NIP soaking in the soap tub. in 2 weeks I will be going to greece for a week, little gift from my bosses, but when I get back, I gotta finish them. Getting ready for the holidays:D.

glad to hear from all of you guys
