I just bought a DeWalt biscuit joiner for my project and made a couple test cuts on a 3/4" plywood. It seems that the slot is cut slightly off center. I used a friend's Porter Cable bj and it had a height adjustment scale - I cannot find one on the DeWalt though. I scanned through the manual, but couldn't find anything that covers it.
edit: I want to use the TS top as the reference surface.

Steve,
The height adjustment knob moves the fence. That will work if I want to use the fence as the reference point. What if I want to use the base as the reference?

Oops.

Look on front, by the blade opening.

2 bottom ones are eccentric

Thanks Steve. I also noticed in your picture a big 4-star knob that my joiner does not have. Even though it's refurbished, one would think that they should have included it. I guess a call is in order to Amazon (or DeWalt).

What did you get for a knob?
Mines about two years old. Sat in the case for a year before I finally sold my Ryobi and started using it.

Dewalt has good service.
They had some retro fits for my DW708. I called, they sent them right out, no charge.

What is the retro-fit kit you referenced for the 708? I have this unit but it is several years old. Maybe 8-10 years.

Dennis. The chip collector tube, guide that bolts on the left side.

It WAS supposed to help when having the bag or a shop vac hooked to it. But I didn't see any difference.:( :)
