Several years back Synrad was in the process of preparing a laser reference called "Sealed CO2 Laser Material Processing Technology". Synrad specializes in CO2 lasers - some of you have Synrad tubes in your lasers. (www.synrad.com (http://www.synrad.com))

At that time, I received a draft before publication. Although it looked promising, it was missing several photos, had many TBD's, etc. I enquired recently and was told that it was still unpublished and due to many projects there was no active timeline for publication. I asked if they would send me the latest draft and they did. It seems fairly complete to me and I think it is a valuable reference, even if it might have not had the final proofreading and polishing.

If they get a few enquires maybe they will publish it officially. If you are interested, contact Mr. Bill Stull at Synrad and ask if it would be possible to get a pdf of the Material Processing Technology manual. It is approximately 119 pages and about 1.6 megabytes.

I think a few members would find this reference useful.
