Wholesale source for jewelry box hardware

I am considering a side business building very high end jewelry boxes. I've found plenty of nice solid brass hardware from retail outlets, but for the design I want to build I'm looking at over $100 of hardware per box. In fact, almost all of it appears to come from one manufacturer. I would like to find a wholesale source for top quality brass jewelry box hardware. Does anyone here have any suggestions?...joe

Have you contacted that manufacturer to inquire whether they would consider making you a distributor? Any time I've been involved in a distributor situation there has been a requirement to carry inventory.

Making one off items will generally not qualify.

I would be buying in lots of 100. Should not be an issue if I can find out who is manufacturing these hinges...joe

Hi Joe,

If you are referring to Brusso stuff, try contacting Joel at Tools for Working Wood and or Rob at Lee Valley and see if you can get a break on them. Either I suspect would have to pull a special order as I do not think either carry that much stock.
