Just when I start feeling OK using Corel 12 I do something that should be simple to correct but cannot.

I lost the Color selection bar which was down the right side.

How do I get it back?

Window/Color plalettes/Default Cmyk palette , click it.
Then go to Tools and hit "save settngs as default"

Thanks - That 3 second moved saved me a lot of time.

I had been searching for it for awhile.

Unless I'm making art to be printed (brochures, etc...) I prefer the RGB palette rather than the CMYK one. I have that set as default. The normal CMYK black isn't really black, and will cause black things to be treated as a shade of gray in the laser.

I second Dave's comments. If you're using Corel for laser engraving then you really do need to use the
rgb palette as I believe all laser mfrs. specify that.

Gcc uses the std Corel palette which is the default CMYK , all color management turned off.
At any rate , use the palette your driver wants.

Thanks for asking that question pete... mine disappeared a long time ago, and I hadn't been able to get it back either!
