I am finishing a Craftsman cabinet. I am using a traditional fuming on QS white Oak.

I have an HVLP sprayer that I have not used for several years. I would like to use it on this project as there are many spindles and it is a relatively big project.

What would you recommend I use for the finish? I would like something that will not have a long learning curve associated with it.

Thanks.

Lacquer would be a good choice.

How about waterbased lacquer like Target Coatings USL?

I'm with John....water borne is easy to spray and clean up afterward and it also doesn't have the health and physical safety issues to deal with that a solvent based finish like NC lacquer has when spraying. USL is usually my choice, but there are some fine finishes available today.
