Takes a couple hours to cut out (not even including assembly, tape removal), and uses 6 sheets of 12x24 MDF. So probably not something you can resale. I made it for me, I'm just sharing. It would go a lot faster to use longer tabs, without a doubt. But in case you haven't noticed, I really like the symmetrical-ness of having the tab match the material thickness (1/4"), plus it will match my shadowboxes. It's also kinda deep, so it might look a little awkward. I made it deep enough for my larger envelopes, so it's functional though.

Here's the Version 9 CDR (http://www.shaddysengraving.com/laser/MailCenterVer9.cdr), in case you're feeling up to it ;)

I must admit, I enjoy when it works out. This time I screwed up by making one of the pieces a tad too small, but other than that all the tabs were aligned correctly and everything else worked out. I only had to recut that one item. It taxes my brain to try and think 3 dimentionally, but it's also kind of fun. A coworker wants me to make one for him, I'll have to tell him that after shop and laser time, he's probably looking at $180 hehe, or it'll just be a gift.

I doubt I'll ever be able to design like Buzz, but these projects have given me a whole new appreciation for what he's been able to create.

I love it ! I really enjoy making box's & shapes as well, it's like solving a puzzel every time you get it right. Thanks for the cdr .Terry
