I've got one of these stupid things on my DW625 and I can't get it off. The nut is unscrewed. I've tried pulling, pounding and pushing. I even considered that it could be because I wasn't holding my mouth right and changed that. Mild oaths didn't even work nor did WD-40 (since I didn't have any penetrating oil). All I've done is manage to make the collet unusable so now it has to come off.
So now what? Any ideas?

Is it left handed?
Here's the manual if you don't have it...

Glenn, thanks for the pics. As to it being left handed--no, I don't think it is but I am. Could that be the problem?

Glenn, thanks again for the link. I ended up talking to Tony Williams who set up the site. He was very helpful and gave me a few things to try. He also told me about the site and that he's trying to create a place where people can find out about tool safety along with minimum manufacturing specs.
