I looking for input on shoulder planes. I currenting looking at the Lie-Nielson medium shoulder plane. And the Lee Valley Veritas Medium shoulder plane. I going to use it mostly for cleaning up the tenon shoulders. I'm leaning towards the Veritas. I like the pivoting lever knob. Price isn't the issue here. Just looking for feedback from those who know more about these tools. Are there other brands I should look at? I'm hand tool challenged.

Hi Russ--you cannot go wrong with either. An ergonomic nod goes to the LV, a nod for the classic look to LN.
Other than that, they both work great.
Take care, Mike
