Hi,

The table looks great, but I'm as intrigued by the shiny glass in the background as I'm am the table!

Looking good so far, Randy. I love bloodwood, and assuming the other wood is maple? Nice choice of contrasting woods.

Hi Scott,
The shiny glass thing is my 50 year old stereo amp.

Yeah, a Mac. Can't do much better than that. Even after 50 years :D :D

Hi Scott,
The shiny glass thing is my 50 year old stereo amp.

What tubes are you using in the amp?

Hi Scott,
The shiny glass thing is my 50 year old stereo amp.
Not something you see in every wwer's living room...that's why I was intrigued! I've got a pair of 46 year old modified Dyna 70 mono blocks....love 'em. They're about my 7th amp over the years, they have the lowest power, and the best sound! I used to hang out with some of the modern day tube designers in the 90's....those guys were off the wall. Kenny Stevens of Convergent and George Melos come to mind.....they used to take alot of flack from the transistor guys for still using tubes, but hey..."better is better!" :D Enjoy...

I'm waiting to see how he incorporates that roll of Duct Tape into the design!:D

I really like the contrasting colors of the wood. What finish are you planning on using?

Randy,

That Bloodwood is some heavy, dense stuff ain't it? I've made a couple of small projects out of it (a mancala and a cutting board) and couldn't believe how hard it was.

Hi all,
Thanks for all the nice words.

I guess I should post the stereo stand project here as well the I can show off my MacIntosh equipment.

Don't plan on including the duct tape in the project. Hope you all will not be too disapointed.

Yes - The light wood is White Hard Maple.

I'll have to check which tubes I'm using now, but I do have 4 orignal MacIntosh power tubes That still work great.
