I' in the final stages of replacing a set of patio doors. The brick moulding I plan on using is fiberglass. I was told tht I shold not use my regular TS blade or Miter saw to cut fiberglass.

If that's true, what does one use to cut fiberglass?

You can use your mitersaw, try using a TCG negative hook blade for both the TS and CMS.

Jerry..........I've cut fiberglass roofing using a CS and reversing the blade.

You might try a plywood blade on it. I've never cut fiberglass moldings, but working on boats, what seems to chip badly is the gelcoat, the actual fiberglass cuts pretty evenly and smooth. If your mitersaw has something on the order of an 60 to 80 tooth blade it would probably work fine. Just try it on an end if you have enough length to spare. I would recommend a dust mask and eye protection, the glass fibers can be very irritating.

The big concideration is DC.
The small fibers are very very bad.
Glove too.
Go get-em tiger;)

Worth a big DITTO, watch out for the dust. Bad news stuff. Wear mask, goggles and gloves. If you have dust collection system, that is even better.
