Somewhere in the back of my mind, I thought maybe Travis would ease up a bit while I was away. Guess not! Startling piece Mr Stinson sir.

Doggone it Travis! Don't you ever do anything that isn't superhuman? Nicely done!

That is beautiful. How did you get the different dyes to take in different areas? Did you dye the red and then sand a little and then the yellow? or just dye the whole thing red and then yellow and thats how the wood took it?

Travis,
As we have come to expect from you, this HF is wonderful in all ways.

One thing I notice that stands out is the slight and graceful concavity of form rising upwards from the shoulder to the lip.

I look forward to your further explorations along this line.

Frank

David, I wiped the red off pretty quickly, then let the yellow sit a while before wiping it off. The neat thing about dyeing burl wood is the way the swirling grain patterns take the dye differently.

I can't get enough of it. I must have viewed it 6 times in the past 24 hours.
Love the form. Love the dye job. Love the finish.

Amen! But at 54 I just hope I live long enough to reach this level.

I normally don't get to excited about dyed wood but this one is out of this world!
