I don't know really what this does, how I would move it or even what the hell it is but it looks like something Lou, Tod or Dev would have so it must be good. :D

Ya kow, after looking at it for awhile it kinda looks like a machine from Dr. Suess. Maybe a "Wadkin 4 Drumbled Combugrumbulator". (Man...what would rhyme with that?) :D

This is the auction for this tool and a BUNCH of other stuff from a door shop that has gone out of business here in California. It's auction number is 210.

UHHH, I doubt it! I too don't know what it is but if I could buy it for $100 I would and figure it out later. Heck, you could always sell it after.

it bears a scary resemblance to the "cabbage shooter" from an episode of the A-team!

Do you think this might be cheaper than a face lift? I'm starting to get a few unsightly crows feet. Could I do it my self or do I just get REAL close and have another person operate the tools?

Something about the shim in the left corner of the mobile base just speaks to me. :D

It looks like a Moulder I just saw in Wilke Machinery's catalog (for $23,995, as of 8/22/05). It is the Bridgewood CM-555, weighs 5770 lbs.

I'm not saying its the same, but it sure looks similar.

It basically is like a multi-shaper - it treats all 4 edges of the board you shove through it, top, bottom, and both sides.

The photo in their print catalog is much larger than the one on the website, and the internals look quite similar - several vertical 'strut-like' things, and several safety enclosures with dust-collection hookups on the top of them, and a long in-feed table.

I'm pretty certain it's a miter slicer. like you'd see for picture framing, except the blade comes up from below. It's operated by pushing on the foot bar.

Thanks for the great commentary on the auction items Mark!!! I want the aircraft carrier! That first item looks like a three or four head moulder. You would probably need to re-mortgage your house to afford a good selection of cutters for it though...

Seriously, I don't know what this is or what it does...I'm more of a software guy than a hardware guy, but it sure looks like some kind of machinery.:D

I bet money it's a multi-head molder.. Wadkins is a UK company known for moulders.. check out the picWadkins made all types of cool stuff, and made some great table saws. There's been an old table saw that has been for sale, but hasn't sold to anyone (didn't reach reserve on ebay), and it's a beauty. It looks right up there with the best direct drive table saws.

Seems I've seen a really cool mortiser by them as well.

Unfortunately no info on owwm as they only cover north american machinery.

Looks like I lost that bet.

I thought for sure that it was a snow cone machine.
