Looking for some image's (chuck wagon with team of horses) for laser
engraving or vector cutting. Looked everywhere I could think on the net

There is a free program called Inkscape that will convert jpeg and giff to vectors. I use it all the time, works pretty good. I'll try and find the link, or just google Inkscape.

Head to your local best buy and look for a package called Art Explosion. It is inexpensive and should have several images that would work for you. I believe it's $99 for 800,000 royalty free images.

I checked with my local best buy and they don't have it, but I did a quick search on ebay and found a party selling it for $90. Contains over 38 cd's
with over 190k vector images so for that kind of money it sounds like a good deal. You can never have to much clipart on hand..

The only problem with this package is that it can be a real headache to deal with the 38 cds. I dropped all of them on a network drive and can access it from anywhere now -- a real timesaver.

Last year I bought "Clipart & More 2.5Million" from IMSI. It was $26 and came with a 1 year subscription to Clipart.com (a $150 value). I never even installed the CDs. I just go to clipart.com and search around.

With all that clip art from the 38 CDs on one drive is a great strategy. If I did that, I would browse & select images using Adobe Bridge or maybe Portfolio. What do you use?

I have been using an image viewer called XNView that is a free download. http://www.xnview.com/ It goes back automatically to the last directory you had open.

I recently downloaded Picasa2 from Google, which searched through all my directories and found all the images. Worth a look. http://google.picasa.com/ Found stuff I forgot where I put.

I probably like XnView better, but both are fast and easy to use.
