Is this a Walker-Turner 16???

I'm sorry the picture is sideways, but that's the way it came to me.

If it is, what's it worth in the real world, beyond that whole willing buyer/seller thing.

I know another SWC fellow just got one for $25, but I never get the prizes in cereal, so I don't expect to get this for a steal either.

It looks like a rizer kit is out of the question, so it's value to me may be somewhat limited.

What say you??

And your right a riser kit would be out of the question.

Do you have another picture of the other side?

From the looks of this pic, I'd say it probably is:

Walker-Turner 10" Bandsaw (http://www.owwm.com/PhotoIndex/detail.asp?id=2136)

The tensioner looks similar, but different.

And yes, I am still challenged in my ability to rotate photos.

I couldn't be sure when the pics were sideways, but turned right side up I recognized instantly that that is an old bandsaw.:D :D :D

Rob, even if it is a smaller machine, there could be value in it, either as something to restore and sell, or something to keep for smaller scrolling work as a compliment to a big saw

Rob,

Check some pics here of a WT BS my father picked up a couple years ago:

The pics are near the bottom of the thread.

It looks a lot like one I inherited from my dad. Mine is a DURO, made in the lat 50's. I used to have a copy of a catalog, but it was on a dead hard drive.

http://www.owwm.com/PhotoIndex/detail.asp?id=2239 similar to mine

I put urethane tires, a Timber wolf blade and adjusted the 2 wheels to co-planar and use it for my tight curves and my Rikon for straighter cuts.

...is Bob right about it being an old bandsaw, but it will work much better now that it is standing upright.

Like Mom said, "if you can't say something nice, say something useless."

The Bandsaw is posted for sale again. Photos have a touch more light, and it looks like it might be a 12 incher or perhaps a 14, if that makes any sense.

The owner said that bandsaw worked well, but now claims that it has a "bad switch". So I guess that means it doesn't work.

What do you think it is worth?
