Jessem Mit R Slide question

I recently installed the Jessem Mit R Slide on the Mast R Fence router table system. It seems to be well built. My only negative is with the assembly/user's manual. The lower edge of the outer portion of the miter fence appears to be only supported by the router table top and thus drags along its surface. I don't see any other means of support. Are there other forum members who have had the same observations? Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.

Hi Rick,

I have noticed that on my unit too, and unless you have the slide perfectly aligned and positioned with the main fence the slide fence tends to drag on one of its corners. I'm in the process of building my shop so haven't spent a lot of time on that issue but it does appear that its designed to slide on the surface of the table. If you find it doesn't slide smoothly, you may have to adjust the position of the main bar making sure its parallel to the main fence.
