This is from some hurricane felled Bradford Pear that sat in the woodpile for a couple of years and started to spalt in a very interesting way. Approximately 12" x 5" with a walnut oil and beeswax finish. Wife liked this one too. I'm gonna be eating a lot of salads! :D Thanks for looking.

Beautful bowl! I like heavy looking user type bowls. The rim is a nice touch and I LIKE the bowl stand as well:D

The title of your thread is "Piece of Pear". Well, that's a nice bowl and all but I want to see you turn a piece of cake..........That's what I want to see.:D :D :D

Thanks for the compliments. "Aged" Pear is one my favorites. When its green it has a nice honey color, but let it sit awhile and it takes on a completely different character.
