THe oak was givin to me by a freind of a freind that has a farm in northern wisconsin. It is about 1.25 thick and heavy. I have also built a matching corner unit. I'll try to get some pictures but right now both are piled high with stuff.

That is real nice - great job! In fact it's so good, you'd better go out and buy yourself a brand new computer and widescreen lcd display to go with it. May as well get a fancy printer too! A great looking desk like that deserves nothing but the absolute best!:)
