This is by far my favorite pen to date. I turned it on one of James Mann fine pin chuck. It is my first closed end pen. I think it would make a good lawman pen, so it ain't for sale, It's for savinghttp://www.penturners.org/forum/images/icon_smile_big.gif

Axis antler (of course!), waxed and buffed.

Jason I use pin chucks as well but I am fortunate to have a machinest that makes them for me for $5 a piece. There are other ways to make solid bodied pens if you want to get started. The easiest I have found is the get a stainles steel rod from ace hardware a little smaller than the ID of the tube then drill a hole in a pice of plastic or wood the size of the rod epoxy it on and turn the wood or plastic down to make a jam chuck to fit inside the tube. I hold mine in a collet chuck but you can also use a drill chuck.

Travis - Nice pen it has a really nice shape to it.

Very nice pen! Just don’t do what I did with mine hand it to someone to sign a citation with and let them drop it:mad: , or worse yet have to stop them a second time for theft. LOL

.....I think it would make a good lawman pen, so it ain't for sale.....

I have always assumed that people like police, doctors, nurses. etc. would prefer a click pen as it is quicker to get into action and has less parts to loose. I'm curious as to the experience of folks who have sold to this group of buyers as to their preference??
