Turned from pear wood, finished with Watco Danish oil, satin urethane, and wax. 5 1/2"x 6".

Nice piece, Jerry; and well done.

I've turned two small bowls from pear and they both cracked miserably after I completed them. Looks like yours will hang in there.

I like the shape and orientation of this bowl, Jerry. Nice work! I tried on similar to this shape recently and it didn't survive. So I'm jealous, and inspired to try again...;)

Very nice looking piece of pear, Jerry. I think you've done wonderfully. Out of curiosity---what did you use for the reverse mounting to do the bottom treatment?

I used Bill Grumbine's method of a small wooden knob chucked in the scroll chuck and brought up the live center to support it. Then I GENTLY turned away the tenon.
