Hello all,

Thanks for your previous replies in my other post yesterday.

I now have the tote and knob stripped and am ready to refinish them. Basically I am thinking of applying "Natural" colour minwax (natural is basically clear with a bit of yellowing) to the handles and once that is dry I am planning on using a spray poly in a can. I am not sure what sheen yet, but probably semi-gloss or satin.

I want to make sure not to darken the rosewood more than it is now. I just want the grain in it to stand out a little more and not be as dark when refinished as it was before.

1. Do you think I will achieve this with my plan of attack?

2. I realize that rosewood is considered an oily wood, so would the rosewood accept the products I plan to use well?

3. How would you folks finish them if you wanted to achieve the same results that I am looking for?

Again, thank you very much for your opinions on this. I will post before and after pics after I am done.

Cheers and Beers,

Kevin
