DC Question

I have a Delta 50-850. I bought the American felt bags for it. Does anyone know if the canvas collector bag can be replaced with plastic bags? Does the canvas material provide breathing for the DC?

Normally, the lower bag also passes air. With a properly sized upper felt bag, you can, umm...bag the canvas bag for a plastic bag so your chips can be in the bag, so to speak... :D

I have a 50-850 I bought from the Delta rep at a Woodworking Show a couple (maybe 3) years ago. It came with what was billed as a 5 (not 0.5) micron upper bag and a plastic lower bag. This DC is my only point of reference, as I've never had one before. It works GREAT as is. SWMBO is thrilled with the results when I use this in my garage shop immediately adjacent to kitchen. Hope that is helpful information.
